Adult League 1 is our top-flight League at Athens Community Soccer. The League provides a qualified referee and volunteer assistant referees per game. All games are played with the official English Premier League Match Ball and the UEFA Champions League Official Finale Match Ball.

League 1 is competitive but still recreational and players are expected to behave in a professional, courteous and respectful manner towards other players, officials and spectators.

The format for League 1:

Official FIFA rules
50 minute games (25 minutes per half)
5 minute half-time
8v8
Co-Ed
Offsides
No Slide Tackling
Shin Guards are required

Prohibited behavior includes but is not limited to:

Slide Tackling
Dangerous Play
Abusive Language
Complaining about referee decisions
Unsporting Behavior
Retaliation
Attempting to play with non-regulation equipment
