Adult League 1 is our top-flight League at Athens Community Soccer. The League provides a qualified referee and volunteer assistant referees per game. All games are played with the official English Premier League Match Ball and the UEFA Champions League Official Finale Match Ball. 

League 1 is competitive but still recreational and players are expected to behave in a professional, courteous and respectful manner towards other players, officials and spectators. 

The format for League 1:

• Official FIFA rules
• 40 minute games (20 minutes per half) (**)
• 5 minute half-time
• 7v7
• Co-Ed
• Offsides
• No Slide Tackling
• Shin Guards are required 

(**) = Depends on the number of teams and players that sign up for League 1.

Prohibited behavior includes but is not limited to:

• Slide Tackling
• Dangerous Play
• Abusive Language
• Complaining about referee decisions
• Unsporting Behavior
• Retaliation
• Attempting to play with non-regulation equipment
